Sizzling Garlic Butter Steak Bites & Creamy Pepper Jack Pasta
Ingredients:
For the Steak Bites:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Pepper Jack Pasta:
8 oz penne or pasta of choice
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
1 ½ cups shredded Pepper Jack cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak bites with salt and pepper.
Sear steak bites for 2–3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic, stirring until fragrant (about 1 minute). Return steak bites to pan and toss in garlic butter. Garnish with parsley and set aside.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes. Slowly whisk in milk until smooth.
Add garlic powder, then stir in shredded Pepper Jack cheese. Continue stirring until cheese is melted and sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
Toss cooked pasta in the cheese sauce. Serve immediately with garlic butter steak bites on top or on the side.
