Double Cheeseburger Stack Recipe
Ingredients:
2 beef patties (about 4 oz each)
4 slices of cheddar cheese (or any cheese you prefer)
2 slices of sandwich bread or hamburger buns
1 tablespoon butter (for toasting)
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional toppings: grilled onions, pickles, lettuce, ketchup, mustard
Instructions:
Step 1: Make the Patties
Season the ground beef with salt and pepper. If you like, you can add other seasonings such as garlic powder or onion powder for extra flavor.
Shape the ground beef into two equal patties (roughly 4 oz each), ensuring they are evenly sized for stacking.
Step 2: Toast the Buns
Heat a skillet or griddle on medium heat. Spread butter on the inside of your bread slices or buns.
Toast the bread until golden brown and slightly crispy, then set them aside.
Step 3: Cook the Beef Patties
In the same skillet or griddle, cook the beef patties over medium-high heat. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, place two slices of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cover with a lid to help the cheese melt evenly.
Step 4: Stack the Patties
Place the bottom half of the toasted bread on your plate.
Add the first cheesy beef patty, then place the second cheesy patty on top. Continue stacking until the cheeseburgers are tall and cheesy.
Step 5: Add Optional Toppings
If you like, add grilled onions, pickles, or any other toppings you prefer.
Spread ketchup or mustard for an extra zing.
Step 6: Serve
Place the top slice of bread on the burger stack, cut in half, and serve immediately while hot and cheesy!
