If you recieved an invite to a BBQ this long weekend this BBQ sauce in a cola bottle or mason jar makes a fun and tasty host/hostess gift from the kitchen :)

Coca-Cola BBQ Sauce #memorialdayweekend
1 cup Coca-Cola.
1 cup ketchup.
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced .
1/4 cup A-1 steak sauce.
1/2 teaspoon onion powder..
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
*optional: if you like your sauce to have a little kick add 1- 2 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped or a tsp or two of red pepper flakes, or a Tbsp. of siracha
If you like your sauce to be on the sweeter side, add a Tbsp. of brown sugar
Combine the ingredients in a heavy saucepan and gradually bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat slightly to obtain a gentle simmer. Simmer the sauce until reduced by 1/4, 6 to 8 minutes.
Transfer the sauce to clean mason jars or Coca-Cola bottle and let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until serving. The sauce will keep for several months, refrigerated.
Use on chicken, burgers, ribs, steak and pork.
You can seal the Coke bottle with a small cork. Please remember even with the cork the bottle needs to be stored in the refrigerated.
