Banana Chocolate Chip Loaf is a delicious and comforting treat, combining the rich sweetness of ripe bananas with the indulgence of chocolate chips.
Ingredients:
2-3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
3/4 cup sugar (you can adjust to taste)
1 large egg, beaten
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chocolate chips (dark, semi-sweet, or milk chocolate)
Optional: 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (for added flavor)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
2. Prepare the banana mixture: In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork or potato masher until smooth. Stir in the melted butter, vanilla extract, and beaten egg.
3. Add dry ingredients: Sprinkle the baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using) over the banana mixture and stir to combine.
4. Mix in the sugar and flour: Add the sugar and flour, mixing until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.
5. Add chocolate chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
6. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it out evenly. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (or with a few moist crumbs).
7. Cool: Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
