Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza
Ingredients:
1 (16 oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough
1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 1/2 cups whole milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 large eggs
2 tablespoons butter
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 12-inch pizza pan or baking sheet.
2. Open the biscuit dough and press the biscuits together into an even crust. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly golden but not fully cooked.
3. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbled. Sprinkle in the flour and stir for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in the milk until the mixture thickens, about 5 to 7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
4. In a small skillet, melt the butter and cook the beaten eggs over medium heat until softly scrambled and just set.
5. Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the partially baked biscuit crust. Top with scrambled eggs, then sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheeses over the top.
6. Return the pan to the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
7. Remove from oven, garnish with parsley if desired, slice, and serve warm.
