2 cups crushed vanilla wafers
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons sugar
For the Filling:
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 (3.4 oz) package instant banana pudding mix
1¾ cups cold whole milk
1½ cups whipped topping
2 bananas, sliced
For the Topping:
1½ cups whipped topping
Crushed vanilla wafers
Fresh banana slices
Directions:
Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper, allowing a bit of overhang on the sides.
In a bowl, combine crushed vanilla wafers, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until evenly moistened, then press into the bottom of the pan. Freeze while preparing the filling.
In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.
In another bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk. Let it thicken in the fridge for 3 minutes.
Fold the thickened pudding and sliced bananas into the cream cheese mixture until smooth. Then gently fold in the whipped topping.
Spread the filling evenly over the chilled crust.
Top with more whipped topping, crushed vanilla wafers, and fresh banana slices.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm. Slice into bars and serve chilled.
