Savory Garlic Herb Chicken with Creamy Penne and Broccoli
Ingredients:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
2 cups penne pasta
2 cups broccoli florets
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Directions:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook penne pasta according to package instructions. Add broccoli florets during the last 2 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced chicken, season with paprika, onion powder, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked. Remove chicken and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens slightly.
Add the cooked penne and broccoli to the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy sauce. Return the chicken to the skillet, mixing gently to combine.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
