🍬 Easy Fruity Marshmallow Fudge 🍓
Ingredients
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (10-ounce) bag mini marshmallows
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup chopped fruity hard candies (such as Jolly Ranchers or fruit-flavored discs), plus extra for topping
Pinch of salt (optional, to balance sweetness)
Instructions
Prepare the pan: Line an 8x8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal. Lightly grease the parchment paper with nonstick spray or a dab of butter.
Cook the base: In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a gentle boil. Once boiling, cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
Add marshmallows and flavor: Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately stir in the mini marshmallows, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until the marshmallows are fully melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy.
Incorporate the candy: Gently fold in the chopped fruity candies, reserving a small handful for topping. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly with a spatula. Sprinkle the reserved candy pieces on top for a pop of color and added crunch.
Chill and set: Place the pan in the refrigerator and let the fudge chill for at least 2–3 hours, or until firm. Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang and cut it into squares or rectangles.
