Baked Broccoli Cheese Balls
Ingredients:
2 cups broccoli florets, steamed and chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
1 large egg
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil spray
Directions:
Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the steamed and chopped broccoli with the shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, and the egg. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, mixing everything until well blended.
Next, form the mixture into small balls, about 1-2 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly spray the tops of the broccoli cheese balls with olive oil to help them crisp up during baking.
Bake in the preheated oven for around 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside. Once they are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. These baked broccoli cheese balls make for a fantastic appetizer or snack!
