🥔🥛🇫🇷 Gratin Dauphinois
A rich and creamy potato gratin baked until golden brown. A French bistro classic perfect as a side dish 🥘✨.
Ingredients:
• 1 kg potatoes, thinly sliced
• 300 ml heavy cream
• 200 ml milk
• 2 garlic cloves
• 100 g butter
• Pinch of nutmeg
• Salt & pepper
Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Butter a gratin dish.
2️⃣ Rub dish with garlic, then finely chop the cloves.
3️⃣ Heat cream, milk, garlic, nutmeg, salt & pepper in a saucepan.
4️⃣ Layer potatoes in the dish, pour cream mixture over.
5️⃣ Dot with butter and bake 1 hour until golden and tender.
6️⃣ Serve warm with roasted meats or salad 🍖🥗.
