🍪 Soft and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies (Original Recipe)
Ingredients:
• 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, softened
• 3/4 cup (150 g) brown sugar, packed
• 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
• 2 1/4 cups (280 g) all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 cups (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
• (Optional) 1/2 cup (50 g) chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions:
1 Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2 In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes using a hand mixer or stand mixer).
3 Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
4 In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
5 Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix just until combined — do not overmix.
6 Fold in the chocolate chips (and nuts, if using).
7 Scoop dough using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
8 Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
9 Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Tips for Perfect Cookies:
• For extra flavor, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
• Want gooier centers? Bake for only 9-10 minutes and let them finish cooking on the hot tray.
• Sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt on top before baking for a gourmet twist.
