Savory Sausage Cream Pie 🥧🧄
Ingredients:
1 pie crust (top and bottom)
1 lb ground sausage
1 small onion, chopped
2 cups shredded potatoes or hash browns
1½ cups heavy cream
1 cup shredded mozzarella or white cheddar
Salt & pepper to taste
Chopped chives for garnish
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a skillet, brown sausage with onion until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
3. Add shredded potatoes, stir, and cook 3–4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Pour in cream, stir in cheese until melted, then remove from heat.
5. Fill bottom pie crust with mixture, cover with top crust, seal edges, and cut slits.
6. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until golden. Rest 10 minutes, garnish with chives, and serve with extra cream sauce if desired!
