Tiramisu Truffles Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Truffle Filling:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon espresso powder (optional)
1 tablespoon rum or coffee liqueur (optional)
1/4 cup ladyfingers, finely crumbled
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
For Coating:
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
Directions:
Prepare the Truffle Filling:
In a large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, espresso powder (if using), and rum or coffee liqueur (if using) until smooth and creamy.
Stir in the crumbled ladyfingers and chocolate chips until evenly combined.
Shape the Truffles:
Use a small spoon or cookie scoop to drop rounded teaspoons of the truffle mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Roll the mixture into small balls using your hands.
Place the formed truffles on the baking sheet.
Chill the Truffles:
Cover the baking sheet with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2-4 hours, or until the truffles are firm.
Coat the Truffles:
In a small bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder and powdered sugar.
Roll each chilled truffle in the cocoa powder mixture to coat.
Serve:
Serve immediately, or store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
