Baked Ziti
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
2. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
4. Add in the marinara sauce and oregano, then simmer for 5 minutes.
5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti pasta, meat sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, and ricotta cheese. Mix until well combined.
6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, then sprinkle some extra mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
7. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
