I had alot of people on random posts were asking me about the way I do okra so here is a break down. My dad has done it this way for years even when I was a kid!
Wash okra, dry it, cut it up in desired size pieces to your liking, grab a gallon size freezer bag, throw flour with whatever seasonings you like, example salt pepper, throw cut okra in bag. Leave air in bag, seal it shut and shake to coat all the peices. You can compress some of the air out but leave some in. After they are frozen, and ready to use, shake again, grab desired peices, some flour may come off, but I havent ever lost much, and the DROP THEM IN HOT GREASE!! I start a bag of okra in the freezer and as I collect them during that week, I keep adding to my bag as you can see in the photo. I only grab the bag when im ready to put them in to avoid thawing them. Ive got okra from last year still good im still eating on! Posted from canning rebels.
