Cajun Garlic Beef with Penne Pasta

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef
10 oz penne pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 cup diced yellow onion
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup beef broth
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)

Directions:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add penne and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
Add diced onion and sauté for 2–3 minutes until soft. Stir in minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until fragrant about 1 minute.
Lower heat to medium. Pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Let simmer for 3–4 minutes, then stir in Parmesan cheese. Let it melt and thicken.
Add the cooked penne to the skillet and toss until pasta is coated in the creamy Cajun garlic beef sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot!
