Cherry Gracia Ice Cream (No-Churn or Ice Cream Maker Friendly)
Ingredients:
2 cups heavy cream (cold)
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1½ cups fresh or frozen cherries (pitted & chopped)
½ tsp almond extract (or vanilla extract)
¾ cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chunks or shavings
Optional: ¼ cup fudge sauce or chocolate syrup for swirls
Instructions:
If using an ice cream maker:
1. Prep cherries:
Simmer chopped cherries in a small saucepan over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until soft and syrupy. Let cool completely.
2. Churn base:
In a bowl, mix sweetened condensed milk and almond extract.
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks. Fold into the condensed milk mixture.
3. Add mix-ins:
Fold in cooled cherries and chocolate chunks. Swirl in fudge if using.
4. Freeze:
Pour into a container, cover, and freeze 4–6 hours or overnight.
No-Churn Version:
1. Skip the ice cream maker. Just fold whipped cream into sweetened condensed milk and almond extract.
2. Add cherries, chocolate, and fudge swirls as above.
3. Freeze in a loaf pan or airtight container until firm.
