🇮🇹 Chocolate Torta della Nonna
A rich Tuscan dessert filled with creamy ricotta and luscious chocolate, topped with pine nuts.
Ingredients:
250 g all-purpose flour
125 g unsalted butter, cold and cubed
100 g granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 large egg yolk
400 g ricotta cheese
100 g dark chocolate, melted
80 g powdered sugar
30 g pine nuts
Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
2️⃣ Mix flour and butter until crumbly. Add sugar, egg, and yolk. Knead until a smooth dough forms.
3️⃣ Roll out the dough and line a greased tart pan.
4️⃣ In a bowl, mix ricotta, melted chocolate, and powdered sugar until creamy.
5️⃣ Pour filling into the crust and smooth the top.
6️⃣ Sprinkle pine nuts on top and bake for 35–40 minutes.
7️⃣ Cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
