Sweet Cinnamon Air Fryer Banana Chips
Ingredients:
2 firm, ripe bananas (peeled and sliced thinly into rounds)
1 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
1 tbsp white sugar (or coconut sugar for a healthier option)
½ tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions:
Slice the Bananas:
Peel and slice the bananas into thin rounds, about ⅛ inch thick, for even cooking.
Prepare the Coating:
In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar.
Lightly coat the banana slices with melted butter or coconut oil, then sprinkle them evenly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and allow it to preheat for 3-5 minutes.
Cook the Banana Chips:
Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap. Cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy. Keep an eye on them in the last few minutes to prevent burning.
Cool and Enjoy:
Transfer the chips to a wire rack to cool completely. They will crisp up further as they cool.
Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container for up to two days.
Extra Tip:
Sprinkle a little sea salt before air frying for a sweet-savory twist!
