4 (6 oz) fish fillets (such as cod, haddock, or tilapia)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 large eggs
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Cooking spray
For the Chips:
4 large russet potatoes, peeled and cut into thick fries
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
For Serving (optional):
Malt vinegar
Tartar sauce
Lemon wedges
Instructions:
Prepare the Chips:
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
In a large bowl, toss the potato fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Arrange the fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
Prepare the Fish:
While the chips are cooking, set up a breading station:
In one shallow dish, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
In a second shallow dish, beat the eggs.
In a third shallow dish, combine the panko breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese if using.
Dredge each fish fillet in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.
Dip the floured fish into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
Coat the fish with the panko breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Lightly spray the coated fish fillets with cooking spray.
Cook the Fish:
Place the coated fish fillets in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching.
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is cooked through and crispy.
Serve:
Once both the fish and chips are cooked, serve them immediately with your choice of malt vinegar, tartar sauce, and lemon wedges.
