Garlic Butter Honey BBQ Beef Tacos
Ingredients:
For the Beef:
1 lb ground beef or beef strips
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup honey
1/3 cup BBQ sauce
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Taco Sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon BBQ sauce
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
For Assembly:
6 soft taco tortillas
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the Beef:
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until fragrant.
Add the ground beef or beef strips to the skillet. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking up ground beef as necessary. Drain any excess fat, if needed.
Stir in the honey, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and evenly coats the beef.
Make the Sauce:
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, honey, BBQ sauce, and smoked paprika. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
Assemble the Tacos:
Warm the soft taco tortillas in a skillet or microwave.
Spoon the beef mixture onto each tortilla.
Drizzle the prepared taco sauce generously over the beef.
Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and top with fresh cilantro, if desired.
Serve:
Fold the tacos and serve immediately. Enjoy the sweet and savory flavors in every bite!
