Best Southern Pecan Pie
—Ingredients—
1 homemade or store bought 9 inch pie shell, deep dish
3 large eggs, beaten
1 cup sugar
1 cup light clear Karo Syrup, (Not dark.....or lite version)
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
-+Instructions—
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine, eggs, sugar, Karo Syrup, melted butter and vanilla. Mix well, pour into pie crust. Cover with 1 cup chopped pecans. Bake for 55 minutes. Remove from oven, cover with foil leaving slit for moisture release. Pie will carry over cook as it sits for a perfect consistency. Let cool completely before refrigeration, or store in tightly closed container.
