Perfect Party Food!

Filipino Lumpia (Egg rolls) and Golden Bihon Noodles. A crowd pleaser food that my family and friends enjoy during any get together. A keeper recipe for sure. Made with just simple ingredients but taste delicious. You can never have enough lumpia.

Filipino Lumpia (Crispy Eggrolls)

These eggrolls are so crunchy and savory. Great with sweet chili sauce!

Recipe:
1 pound ground beef or any meat of choice
1 small onion, finely chopped
3 clove garlic, minced
1 cup shredded carrots
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon Salt and pepper
25 egg roll wrappers (thin papers)
Oil for frying

Steps:
In a pan, add the ground meat, onion, and garlic. Cook, stirring frequently, until the beef is cooked. Drain off any excess grease. Add the shredded carrots into the meat mixture and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add salt and pepper to taste. Remove the pan from the heat.
Set aside.
Lay an egg roll wrapper on a flat work surface. Place a 1 1/2 tablespoon of the meat mixture on the lower part of the wrapper. Fold the sides in then roll the egg roll wrapper up over the filling. Seal the edge with a little water and set aside.
Deep fry the eggrolls till golden brown. Serve with sweet chili sauce. Enjoy!

Filipino Pansit Bihon - all veggies version

I used Golden Bihon Noodles brand.

Recipe:
1 small pack Golden noodles (12 oz)
1/3 cabbage sliced thinly
1 Carrot thinly slices
1 Onion sliced thinly
3 Cloves Garlic Finely chopped
1 bell pepper thinly sliced
1 cup sliced green onions
3 tbsp oil

Stir Fry Sauce
3 tbsp Light soy sauce
2 tbsp Oyster sauce
1/4 cup water
1/4 tsp black pepper

Steps:

First, soak the noodles in the hot water for 10 minutes. Then rinse with cold water, and set aside.
Mix all the stir fry sauce ingredients in a small bowl, whisk and set it aside.

In a pan, heat the oil, add garlic and stir for a few seconds. Follow with the onion, and carrots till tender.
Next add the cabbage, and bell peppers , stir well and add the noodles. Add the sauce mixture in.

Toss well to combine everything evenly and cook until the noodles absorbed all the sauce. Ready to serve. Enjoy!
