🍎 Apple Fritter Bites – Just Like Grandma Used to Make!
Warm, soft, and coated in cinnamon-sugar glaze, these Apple Fritter Bites take me right back to my grandma’s kitchen on a chilly morning. Make a batch, pour a cup of coffee or cider, and savor the cozy comfort in every bite. 🍂
🛒 Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup sugar
1½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp salt
1 egg
⅓ cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup peeled and diced apples (Granny Smith works great!)
Oil for frying
For the Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tbsp milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
👩🍳 Directions:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk egg, milk, and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
Fold in the diced apples.
Heat about 2 inches of oil in a heavy skillet or saucepan over medium heat (to 350°F).
Drop spoonfuls of batter into the oil and fry until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes per side. Don’t overcrowd the pan!
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Mix glaze ingredients in a bowl and dip warm fritter bites or drizzle over the top.
Let the glaze set slightly, then enjoy warm!
Crispy outside, tender inside, and bursting with real apple flavor—just like the ones from the local fall fair. 🍁
