Old-Fashioned Chocolate Pie
Homemade Pie Crust Recipe
Yields: 2 pie crusts
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup butter or shortening
5-7 tablespoons cold water
Instructions:
Put the flour in a mixing bowl and add the shortening.
Use a pastry cutter to cut the shortening into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Add salt and cold water, mixing until the dough forms.
Roll the dough out on a flat surface. (I like to place the ball of dough directly in the pie pan and press it to fit without rolling it out.)
Bake at 375°F until golden brown.
