Smothered Hamburger Steaks 🧅🥩
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 tsp salt & pepper
1 medium onion (sliced)
2 tbsp butter
2 cups beef broth
2 tbsp flour
Directions:
1. Mix ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, salt & pepper. Shape into patties.
2. Cook patties in a skillet until browned, then set aside.
3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions until soft.
4. Stir in flour to make a roux, then slowly add beef broth to create gravy.
5. Return patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 15–20 minutes.
