Garlic Butter Steak Tips with Cheesy Bowtie Pasta in Mozzarella Sauce
Ingredients:
1 ½ lbs sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into thick steak tips
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
1 ¼ cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
2 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
1. Cook the bowtie pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of the pasta water.
2. Pat the steak tips dry and season generously with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
3. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak tips in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned but still tender inside. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
4. Lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining butter and garlic to the skillet, stirring until fragrant, about 1 minute.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and milk, whisking to combine. Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan until melted into a thick, creamy sauce.
6. Season with Italian seasoning, plus more salt and pepper to taste. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
7. Toss the bowtie pasta into the sauce until every piece is coated in creamy, cheesy goodness.
8. Serve by placing the bowtie pasta on one side of the plate and the garlic butter steak tips on the other, or toss them together for a hearty one-pan dish. Garnish with fresh parsley.
