Irresistible White Chocolate Caramel Chunk Cookies
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup caramel bits or chopped caramel candies
1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until well combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
Stir in the white chocolate chips, caramel bits, and chopped pecans (if using).
Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges of the cookies are golden brown. The centers may look slightly soft—don’t worry, they will firm up as they cool.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
