Praline Crunch
Ingredients:
- 8 cups Crispix cereal
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).
2. In a large baking pan, combine the Crispix cereal and pecan halves.
3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a boil while stirring constantly.
4. Let the mixture boil for 4-5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and baking soda. The mixture will foam up.
5. Immediately pour the hot syrup over the cereal and pecans. Stir gently to coat all the pieces evenly.
6. Spread the mixture evenly in the baking pan.
7. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating.
8. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before breaking into clusters.
