A Hot Fudge Chocolate Pudding Cake is a magical dessert where the cake bakes on top while a rich, fudgy sauce forms underneath. It’s warm, gooey, and absolutely irresistible!
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ cup (120ml) milk
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Fudge Sauce:
½ cup (100g) brown sugar
¼ cup (25g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ¼ cups (300ml) hot water
Instructions:
Preheat & Prepare
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch (or similar-sized) baking dish.
Make the Cake Batter
In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Prepare the Fudge Sauce
In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and cocoa powder.
Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the cake batter.
Slowly pour the hot water over the top—do not stir! This creates the fudgy sauce as it bakes.
Bake & Serve
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the cake is set on top but still has a gooey sauce underneath.
Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Spoon warm cake onto plates, making sure to scoop up the fudge sauce. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
