Cheddar Cheese Puffs π§β¨
Ingredients:
1 stick butter (8 tablespoons or 4 ounces) π§
1 cup water π§
1/2 teaspoon salt π§
1 cup all-purpose flour πΎ
4 large eggs π₯
1 cup (4 ounces) grated sharp cheddar cheese π§
2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme or rosemary πΏ
Freshly ground pepper β«
Instructions:
In a medium saucepan, bring water, butter, and salt to a boil over high heat π¦π§π§.
Reduce heat to medium, add flour all at once, and stir rapidly until dough forms a ball πΎπ₯.
Remove from heat, cool 2 minutes, then add eggs one at a time, mixing fully after each π₯π.
Stir in cheese, thyme, and pepper π§πΏβ«.
Drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto lined baking sheet, spaced 1 inch apart π₯π½οΈ.
Bake at 425Β°F for 10 minutes, then reduce to 350Β°F and bake 15-20 more minutes until golden
