Famous Crab Bombs
Ingredients:
1 lb jumbo lump crab meat (fresh, not canned)
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons crushed saltine crackers or breadcrumbs (optional, just for binding)
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
Melted butter, for brushing
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.
In a large bowl, gently combine mayonnaise, mustard, Old Bay, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and egg.
Carefully fold in the crab meat and crushed crackers, being gentle to avoid breaking the lumps.
Shape the mixture into large mounds or “bombs” using your hands or a large scoop.
Place on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each crab bomb lightly with melted butter.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden on top and heated through.
Serve hot with lemon wedges, tartar sauce, or a drizzle of melted butter.
