Yellow Sheet Cake recipe—moist, buttery, and perfect for frosting or eating as-is:

Ingredients

For the Cake:

2 ½ cups (312g) all-purpose flour

2 ½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened

1 ¾ cups (350g) granulated sugar

4 large eggs, room temperature

1 tbsp vanilla extract

1 cup (240ml) whole milk, room temperature

Optional (but tasty) Frosting Idea:

Chocolate buttercream or classic vanilla frosting

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.

Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3–4 minutes).

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.

Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk, starting and ending with the flour. Mix just until combined—don’t overmix.

Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool completely before frosting or serving.
