🧂 Ingredients:
4 bone-in pork chops
1 cup buttermilk
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt & black pepper to taste
6 slices bacon, chopped
2 cups milk
2 tbsp flour (from the dredge mix)
Oil for frying
🍳 Directions:
1️⃣ Soak & Season: Soak pork chops in buttermilk for 30–60 minutes.
2️⃣ Dredge: Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge each chop in flour mixture.
3️⃣ Fry Bacon: In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside, keeping 2 tbsp bacon grease in the pan.
4️⃣ Fry Pork Chops: In the same skillet, fry pork chops until golden and cooked through (about 4–5 mins per side). Set aside on a plate.
5️⃣ Make Gravy: Whisk 2 tbsp flour into bacon grease. Slowly add milk, whisking constantly. Let it simmer until thickened. Stir in the crispy bacon bits.
6️⃣ Serve: Plate pork chops and smother them in the bacon gravy. Pair with mashed potatoes or biscuits for the ultimate comfort food meal.
