Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta Bake
Ingredients:
3 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini work well)
2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
2 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Whisk in the flour to form a roux and cook for 1 minute. Slowly add the milk and cream, whisking constantly until smooth and thickened.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, pepper, and salt. Let simmer for 2–3 minutes until creamy.
Add the shredded chicken and cooked pasta to the sauce, stirring to coat evenly.
Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish and top with mozzarella cheese.
Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
