Ground beef or pork (or a mix)

Onion, grated

Breadcrumbs

Egg

Salt, pepper, nutmeg

Butter & oil (for frying)

For the Gravy:

Butter

Flour

Beef or vegetable broth

Heavy cream

Dijon mustard or Worcestershire sauce

For the Mash:

Potatoes

Butter

Milk or cream

Salt

Instructions:
Mix ground meat with onion, breadcrumbs, egg, and spices. Shape into meatballs and brown in a pan. For the gravy, melt butter, whisk in flour, then add broth, cream, and mustard. Simmer until smooth. Boil and mash potatoes with butter and milk until creamy. Serve meatballs with rich gravy over mashed potatoes, garnished with parsley.

Note:
For a twist, add a spoonful of lingonberry jam on the side. Works great with plant-based mince too!
