Crockpot French Onion Meatloaf with Melted Swiss Cheese

Ingredients:
For the Meatloaf:
1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb ground pork

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup milk

1/2 onion, finely chopped

1 packet French onion soup mix

1 egg

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried thyme

Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Topping:
1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded

1/4 cup French fried onions (optional)

Directions:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, French onion soup mix, egg, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the bottom of the crockpot.

Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the meatloaf is fully cooked through.

About 10 minutes before the meatloaf is done, sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese over the top.

Once the cheese is melted, garnish with French fried onions (if using) and serve hot.
