🥩🥩🥩 Gourmet Beef and Cheese Sandwich 🥩🥩🥩

A stack of flavor🥩🧀, loaded with tender brisket, melting Swiss, and crisp red cabbage

Ingredients:

4 slices of sourdough bread
1 lb (450g) cooked beef brisket, shredded
4 slices of Swiss cheese
1 cup of red cabbage, shredded
1 cup of arugula or mixed greens
A handful of fresh parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons of whole grain mustard
2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: pickled vegetables or caramelized onions

Instructions:

Prep the Bread and Greens:
Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
In a bowl, toss the arugula or mixed greens with a bit of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Assemble the Sandwich:
Spread mustard on the non-buttered side of two bread slices.
Place a slice of cheese on top of the mustard, add a layer of shredded beef brisket, then the shredded red cabbage, and another slice of cheese.
Add the dressed greens and top with another piece of bread, buttered side up.
Cook the Sandwich:
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Serve:
Cut the sandwich in half and serve hot, with any additional sides or toppings you like.
