Garlic Butter Steak Bites & Rich Alfredo Twisted Pasta
Ingredients:
For the Steak Bites:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
For the Alfredo Sauce:
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
For the Pasta:
1 lb twisted pasta (like cavatappi or rotini)
Salt for pasta water
Directions:
1. Season steak cubes with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
2. Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak cubes and cook until browned on all sides and cooked to your desired doneness (about 5-7 minutes). Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
3. Add remaining 2 tbsp butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in chopped parsley.
4. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
5. While pasta cooks, make the Alfredo sauce. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
6. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Pecorino Romano cheese. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly until sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and white pepper. Stir in fresh basil.
7. Add cooked pasta to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat. If sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
8. Add the garlic butter steak bites to the pasta and toss gently to combine.
9. Serve immediately and garnish with extra parsley if desired.
