Apple Crumble

Ingredients:

Crumble Topping
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Filling
- 2 1/2 pounds Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced or diced into bite-sized pieces (about 6 to 7 cups)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar or brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons corn starch or all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples with granulated sugar or brown sugar, lemon juice, corn starch (or flour), salt, and ground cinnamon. Toss well to coat the apples evenly.
3. Transfer the apple mixture into a greased 9-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon for the crumble topping.
5. Pour the melted butter over the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly and well combined.
6. Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the apple filling.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apple filling is bubbling.
8. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
