- 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and vanilla extract. Add to the flour mixture and stir until the dough comes together.
4. Reserve about one-third of the dough for the topping and press the remaining dough evenly into the prepared pan to form the crust.
5. In another bowl, mix cherry pie filling with cornstarch and lemon juice until well combined.
