Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish if desired (though the butter will provide plenty of richness).
Pour both cans of peaches—including all the syrup—directly into the baking dish. Spread evenly with a spatula.
Sprinkle the entire box of dry yellow cake mix evenly over the peaches. Gently press down with the back of a spoon to create a uniform layer—this helps the cake base absorb the peach juices as it bakes.
