Ice Cream Loaf Cake π°π¦β¨
Ingredients:
1 loaf pound cake (store-bought or homemade) π
2 cups ice cream (your favorite flavor, softened) π¨
1/2 cup crushed cookies, nuts, or sprinkles (optional) πͺ
1/2 cup chocolate or caramel sauce (optional) π«π―
Whipped cream for topping (optional) π¦
Directions:
1. Start by lining a loaf pan with plastic wrap, making sure to leave some overhang for easy removal later.
2. Carefully cut the pound cake horizontally into three even layers.
3. Place the bottom layer of cake into the lined loaf pan. Then, spread a generous layer of softened ice cream over the cake. If you like, sprinkle on the crushed cookies, nuts, or sprinkles now!
4. Repeat the same process with the second layer of cake and more ice cream, followed by adding the final layer of cake on top.
5. Wrap the top with plastic wrap and pop it into the freezer for at least 4 hours or until itβs nice and firm.
6. When itβs ready, use the plastic wrap overhang to lift it out of the pan. Drizzle a delightful chocolate or caramel sauce on top, and add whipped cream and any extra toppings you desire!
