Bang Bang Crawfish 🦞🔥
INGREDIENTS:
For the Fried Crawfish:
◻ 1 pound of frozen crawfish tails
◻ 1 cup of whole milk
◻ 1 egg, beaten with a splash of water
◻ 5-6 dashes of hot sauce
◻ 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning
◻ 3 cups of all-purpose flour
◻ 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning
◻ 1 tablespoon of paprika
◻ 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
◻ 1 tablespoon of onion powder
◻ 2-3 cups of vegetable oil, for frying
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
◻ 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
◻ 1 teaspoon of sriracha sauce
◻ 1 teaspoon of sweet chili sauce
◻ Juice of half a lemon
INSTRUCTIONS:
Prepare the Crawfish:
❶ Place the frozen crawfish tails in a bowl and cover with whole milk. Soak for at least 30 minutes to remove any fishy taste.
❷ Drain the milk and rinse the crawfish tails.
❸ In a separate bowl, mix the beaten egg with a splash of water. Add the crawfish tails and season with hot sauce and Cajun seasoning. Mix well.
Dredge and Fry:
❶ In another dish, combine flour, Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
❷ Dredge the seasoned crawfish tails in the flour mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.
❸ Heat vegetable oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).
❹ Fry the coated crawfish tails in the hot oil for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce:
❶ In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sriracha, sweet chili sauce, and lemon juice.
Combine and Serve:
❶ Toss the fried crawfish tails in the bang bang sauce until evenly coated.
❷ Garnish with chopped green onions.
❸ Serve immediately and enjoy!
