Last night, I made my hubby this old recipe pear salad that my grandma used to make, featuring pear halves on a bed of lettuce with a bit of mayo, sprinkled with mild cheddar and topped with, of all things, a maraschino cherry, and when he first saw it, he was like ok, what are you trying to feed me lol, but when he tried it, he was pleasantly surprised. I told him see, don’t knock it till you try it, it’s time and true with this recipe, it’s been around a long time; it may seem odd, but it’s actually pretty good! Bottom line: it was good to revisit an old favorite, and to share it with my husband too, that made me pretty happy... Good times.
I must give credit for this lovely dish to my sister. She has a page—go and show her support by following her. She has an old granny's southern soul, and she has so many yummy recipes.
