🌌 Midnight Snowfall Cocoa 🌌
Ingredients:
For the Cocoa:
1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based, like almond or oat milk)
2 tablespoons white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)
1-2 teaspoons blue spirulina powder (or a few drops of midnight blue food coloring)
1/4 teaspoon edible shimmer or glitter
For Topping:
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream (or dairy-free whipping cream)
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Snowflake-shaped sprinkles or edible glitter
For Presentation:
Transparent cup (glass or clear plastic)
Optional: Star-shaped edible glitter or a cinnamon stick
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling. Add the white chocolate chips and whisk until fully melted, creating a smooth base. Stir in vanilla extract, peppermint extract (if using), and blue spirulina powder or food coloring to achieve a midnight blue hue. Add a pinch of edible glitter for shimmer and mix well.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until stiff peaks form to create a fluffy topping.
3. Pour the cocoa into a transparent cup, leaving room for the whipped cream. Spoon the whipped cream on top to form a cloud-like layer.
4. Sprinkle snowflake-shaped sprinkles and edible glitter over the whipped cream. For an extra touch, add a candy star or edible glitter piece.
5. Serve immediately with a clear straw or cinnamon stick for stirring.
Optional Enhancements:
- Frosted Rim: Dip the rim in melted white chocolate and coat with sugar crystals for a frosty look.
- Peppermint Stick: Use a small peppermint stick as a garnish.
- Extra Sparkle: Add a few drops of edible gold glitter for a twinkling effect.
Absolutely delicious! ✨
