Air Fryer Honey Butter Garlic Chicken Tenders Recipe
Ingredients:
1 ½ lbs chicken tenders
½ cup buttermilk (for marinating)
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup cornstarch
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
Olive oil spray
For the Honey Butter Garlic Sauce:
4 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup honey
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp hot sauce (optional, for a kick)
Directions:
Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken tenders in a bowl with the buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Prep the Coating: In a separate bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Coat the Tenders: Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing to coat well. Shake off excess.
Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray the basket with olive oil. Place the tenders in a single layer (you may need to work in batches). Spray the tops with oil.
Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway and spraying again with oil until crispy and golden brown.
Make the Sauce: While the chicken cooks, melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir in honey, soy sauce, and hot sauce (if using). Simmer for 1–2 minutes, then remove from heat.
Toss & Serve: Once tenders are done, toss them in the warm honey butter garlic sauce or brush it on generously. Garnish with chopped parsley or sesame seeds, if desired.
