Key Lime Pie Trifle
Ingredients:
For the Graham Cracker Layer:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter
2 tablespoons sugar
For the Key Lime Filling:
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup key lime juice (fresh or bottled)
1 tablespoon lime zest
8 oz cream cheese, softened
For the Whipped Cream:
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional Add-ins:
Fresh lime slices or zest for garnish
Crushed shortbread cookies or extra graham cracker crumbs
Directions:
In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press onto a baking sheet and toast at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes. Let cool.
In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and zest. Mix until creamy and well combined.
In another bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer as follows: graham cracker crumbs, key lime filling, whipped cream. Repeat the layers, ending with whipped cream.
Garnish the top with lime slices, zest, and extra crumbs or cookie crumbles. Chill at least 2 hours before serving.

Tips:
