๐๐ฅ Ultimate Double Smash Burger with Loaded Cheese & Sauce ๐ง๐ฃ
Double the beef. Double the cheese. Extra grilled onions, crisp lettuce, and a house-made creamy sauce that refuses to stay put. This burger is drippy, dirty, and absolutely undefeated. ๐ฅ๐คค
๐ Ingredients:
For the Smash Patties:
1 lb ground beef (80/20 chuck for max flavor)
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp butter or beef fat
For the Toppings:
ยฝ cup diced grilled onions
1 cup shredded lettuce
4 slices American cheese
Toasted brioche buns
For the Burger Sauce:
ยผ cup mayo
2 tbsp pickles, chopped
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp ketchup
ยฝ tsp garlic powder
ยฝ tsp black pepper
Dash of hot sauce (optional)
๐ฅ Instructions:
1. Make the Sauce:
Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl. Chill while you cook the rest.
2. Grill the Onions:
Sautรฉ diced onions in butter until golden and soft. Set aside.
3. Smash Those Patties:
Divide beef into 4 loose balls.
Heat griddle/pan to high, add beef and SMASH with a spatula.
Season with salt & pepper.
After 2โ3 mins, flip and immediately top with cheese.
Let melt for 1 more minute, then remove from heat.
4. Toast & Build:
Toast brioche buns in the pan with a bit of butter.
Bottom bun โ sauce โ lettuce โ patty โ onions โ patty โ more sauce โ top bun.
Press slightly and let that cheese waterfall do its thing.
