Black Forest Cheesecake Delight
Ingredients:
For the Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Cheesecake Filling:
- 24 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup melted dark chocolate, cooled
For the Cherry Layer:
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
For the Topping:
- Whipped cream
- Chocolate shavings
- Fresh cherries
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
2. Prepare the Crust: In a bowl, combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the springform pan to form a crust. Set aside.
3. Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the sour cream, vanilla extract, and melted dark chocolate until the filling is creamy and well combined.
4. Bake the Cheesecake: Pour the chocolate cheesecake filling over the crust in the springform pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges are slightly puffed. Turn off the oven, crack the door, and let the cheesecake cool gradually for about an hour.
5. Add Cherry Layer: Once the cheesecake is completely cooled, spread the cherry pie filling over the top evenly.
6. Chill and Top: Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to chill completely. Before serving, garnish with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and fresh cherries.
7. Serve: Slice and enjoy this decadent Black Forest Cheesecake Delight!
